Ontological security is the basic need we all have for safety, predictability and continuity in our world. In order to feel ontologically secure, we need to feel there is a sense of order and certainty in our day-to-day lives, our homes become a crucial site through which this is established and sustained.

This project engages directly with the needs of people who are experiencing homelessness and crisis in their lives, providing an environment, which offers the support structure of an institution, whilst allowing the residents to develop the self confidence, and independence required to effectivly rebuild their lives.
