This project is a small cabin in the town of Wye River in Victoria. Situated on a steeply sloping, awkward site located on the periphery of the township, with distant ocean views filtered through the dense tree canopy.
The proposed cabin is a small rectangular plan, broken up into cells containing the separate functions of the dwelling – eating, cooking, sleeping, sitting. Issues relating to difficult site access and an extremely tight budget influenced the small minimal 60m2 footprint.
